Jessie and Andrew met during the Covid-19 Pandemic. In fact, they met only because Jessie's school, Berea College in Kentucky, shut down its campus and she returned to her hometown of Great Falls, MT.

Less than a year after that fateful night at Applebee's, Jessie had to return to her Kentucky campus and Andrew left for Texas in preparation for a deployment. They started a book club together to help them stay in each other's lives despite being over 6,000 miles apart. At one point, due to a study abroad class to Egypt of Jessie's and a mission to Saudi Arabia of Andrew's, they were able to stand on opposite sides of the Red Sea.

After over a year of time moving glacially, Jessie and Andrew finally made it back to Great Falls, MT where they found a strange little poodle mix named Louis and stumbled into a small house that they still can't believe is theirs.
